Richard Battle Jr

Richard “Ricky” Battle, Jr. has dedicated more than 25 years of service to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, where he is assigned to Fire Station 39 in East Los Angeles. He is a graduate of the UCLA Paramedic Education Program and has built a distinguished career in emergency medical services.
In recognition of his clinical excellence and leadership, Ricky was honored as the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians’ Paramedic of the Year in 2023. He has also served as a Field Preceptor and was named Preceptor of the Year in 2018.
Widely respected for his teaching and mentoring abilities, Ricky continues to be one of the most requested preceptors in Los Angeles County. He is deeply committed to developing the next generation of EMS professionals through hands-on training, clinical excellence, and compassionate leadership.
